    Hey man.

    About the speed it is going at, it is probably just fine, If you have never seen this running before it may same slower then 24fps. Buy film, shoot it, and process it. You will know if it is O.k. by the footage you get back. On this site their is a list of film labs that process s-8 film. Get info about orderng S-8 film At www.kodak.com/US/en/motion/index.shtml

    I agree--you may end up spending more to service a Bell&Howell than it is worth. Buy some film and see what happens. Good luck.

    i just bought a bell and howell super 8
    i have been a big fan of stop motion and i saw this and had to get it.
    i need help though
    i just emailed the company asking about the camera and service because i do not know if it still works. i have no film for it. but the wheel that turns the film turns SLOW! like one frame per second or two. but i was curious as to whether this camera is ok or what? any info is gladly accepted!!!
    please help me! i need film i need to know what to do with the cartridge after i shoot my film to get it to play on a projector ect.
